Eternity

As the gods halted the advance of the disjunction, and the new world becacame open to them, what remained of the circus gathered together and set off across the ocean to settle a land far away from the final convocation. In a distant land the Circus began to make their new home. In this new land the newly repopulated circus began the construction of their new homes, no longer the humble horological carts of the old circus, but full cities full of spinning gears and ticking clockwork.

In this new land, these new cities traveled across the landscape, seeing their new homeland. Over the years the Circustopia became a full nation, while much of the population worked the land, to support the cities, which were the homes of the great performers of the generation, both on stage, as well as the those behind it who made the horological wonder that gave the performance an extra dimension of wonder. While those in the cities have the air of an upperclass, a place in the cities was not granted by birth, but by ones own skills, skills which the cities were keen to show off, with regular competition between the various cities when they came together for council. While this utopia of song, may have seen like easy pickings to a hostile rival, the horologist were careful to ensure the weapons of the cities were kept up to date, ready to drive of any who prized martial might above wondrous song.

Xanti was a founding father of Circustopia, transfered to the body of a women by Rayne, after a lifetime as a man, Xanti was keen to live his life again as the opposite gender. He made sure that in this new nation, that the new population didn't forget about the gods, and while the Circustopians never forgot the gods were a Trinity, even after Xanti, Phael and the rest were long gone, Rayne was always the god most favored in that land, always being seen as one of them.

Many years after the new gods saved the world from the Disjunction, an old woman is slowly making her way down a spiral staircase, leading deep into the bowels of one of the cities of Circustopia, behind her are three men, one very elderly, and 2 much younger who are carefully maneuvering what appears to be a organ with a horological recording device attached. As the group reach a small chamber, the 2 young men are dismissed.

“Well the voices finally stopped Jacob, I think it is time I went on.”

“If you feel it is time mistress, we will always follow you, our Lady of the Dance.”

“Well that the problem isn't it, my dancing days are behind me, I feel I only have the strength for one last performance. The new ones are learning nicely?”

“Yes my Lady, the new High Priest seems to have some skill, more than enough to carry on.”

“Good, Rayne was a good 'un, but I never liked Gods, need to make sure they don't get too big for their boots.”

“Indeed my lady, we shall pass it down through the ages, through the order that you have established, that in the tomb of Xanti, the last great performer, can be found a song to break the faith of the gods themselves. Farewell my Goddess.”

The man leaves the room, closing the door behind him, and silence fall over the room. Xanti prepares the recording device, and begins her last performance, the only one she hoped would never be heard.
